Teen Advisory Group

Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is a place where you can share your ideas about the library’s teen programs, services and collections!

The Teen Advisory Group is for teens who want to make the Library better for themselves and for other teens! The Library belongs to teens as much as anyone else in the community and we want to know what you’d like us to offer. Whether it’s books, programs you wish we ran or items in our library of things.

  • Suggest items for our teen collections
  • Suggest programs and services you’d like us to offer
  • Participate in library and community activities
  • Earn volunteer hours and boost your resume

Joining TAG gives you a voice in what happens at the Library!

How do I join?
All teens are welcome to join, whether you come to the Library regularly or have never visited. Our only request is that you be willing to share ideas in a group, and to be willing to think about issues in your community. Drop-in to our next meeting or email us to join!

Membership is open to anyone 13-18 years of age living on Bowen Island.

Teens are welcome to register with us via email at info@bowenlibrary.ca or drop in to any TAG dates. Let us know if you’re planning on coming and have a food sensitivity/restriction.

Can I earn community service credits?
Yes! All teens who join the TAG will receive a letter confirming their community service to the library.
